IS THIS A SHARK
or a DODO?
"Real-world lawyer files suit against Virtual-world maker"
From what I've read in the forums, he HACKED LL's land auctions page by pasting the auction ID (which had been published so that potential buyers would know which plot to bid on once it was opened for bids) onto the URL of the regular auction page, and thereby got access to the as-yet UNSCHEDULED auction for the land. Ergo, not only did he NOT have to pay a reasonable amount for the land, but he effectively "jumped the queue" so that no-one else could bid against him.
And this fool has the audacity -- the brass balls -- to claim that his fraudulent HACK was a legitimate sale!
This is like a cheap thief who picks the lock on your store and leaves you a $100 personal check for a $10,000 diamond necklace that he wanted but couldn't WAIT to get (heaven forbid anyone else should have a fair chance to buy it!); he gets arrested for burglary and theft/fraud, you get your necklace back --- THEN the asshole sues you to force you to return "HIS" diamond necklace to him, claiming it was a perfectly legal sale because HE HAD NO IDEA PICKING THE LOCK ON YOUR STORE WAS ILLEGAL.
ROFLMAO!!!
Any lawyer this unethical (or just plain freaking stupid) should be disbarred.
